Revolutionary component-based vehicle matching. Uses Meta's SAM3 (Segment Anything Model 3) to detect wheels, vents, logos, and plates, creating scale-invariant geometric fingerprints for precise vehicle identification across different views and scales.

🔍 Component-Based Detection

AI-powered component segmentation. SAM3 detects vehicle components (wheels, vents, logos, license plates) using text prompts, providing rich geometric features for accurate matching across different views and scales.

📐 Scale-Invariant Matching

Normalized geometric coordinates. All component positions are normalized to vehicle bounding box (0.0-1.0), making thumbprints completely scale-invariant. Match vehicles regardless of image resolution or distance.

👁️ Multi-View Support

Up to 4 views per vehicle. Store geometric thumbprints for side, front, rear, and top views. Automatic view detection and quality-based thumbprint replacement ensures the best reference data.

🧠 Advanced Knowledge Base v5

Component crop storage. Knowledge Base v5 stores component crops (wheels, logos, vents, plates) as reference images. Quality scoring automatically replaces thumbprints when better ones are available.

⚡ GPU-Accelerated Processing

CUDA-accelerated SAM3. Leverages GPU for fast component segmentation (~1-2 seconds per image). Falls back gracefully to CPU if GPU unavailable. Thread-safe model loading and caching.

🔗 Labeled OCR Crops

Component-aware text extraction. OCR uses SAM3-detected components to create labeled crops (e.g., "LICENSE PLATE: B29TVR", "RACE NUMBER: 67"). Improves text extraction accuracy for race numbers and plates.

📊 Quality-Based Auto-Replacement

Smart thumbprint management. Automatically replaces stored thumbprints when new ones are 5% better quality. Quality scoring based on component count, detection confidence, and completeness.

🎯 Similarity-Based Matching

85% similarity threshold. Geometric thumbprint matching uses weighted component comparison (wheels 40%, vents 20%, plates 20%, logos 10%, vehicle 10%) for accurate vehicle identification.
